Sydney's Senior Portraits in Algonquin and in the Studio

It’s always fun to do a senior portrait session with someone who I’ve known since she was little, and that’s the case with Sydney. She ran around in the same circle with my daughter, Elle, so we knew of each other pretty well before we did this photo shoot.

While we wanted to do a usual senior portrait shoot capturing Sydney’s personality at one of our favorite locations at Brunner Family Farm Preserve, we also knew we wanted to capture some shots of Sydney playing the violin. Sydney is the first chair with the Dundee-Crown High School Chamber Concert.

We shot some of the violin shots on location at the farm preserve, but I was also pretty excited about bringing her into our studio to get some more creative shots of Sydney and her violin. My favorite shot is the one of her leaning back, playing the violin, while her Mom is blowing her hair with our wind machine.
