Dynamic Perception Dance Company's Outdoor Photo Shoot in September 2019

We do three photo shoots a year at the Dynamic Perception Dance Company in Westmont, IL. The Westmont dance school brings us there for a competition team photo shoot, a showcase costume portrait session, and an outdoor shoot around their brick building and across the street at a park.

This is a dance school that loves to dance, loves to have fun, and really loves their dance photos!

We do the outdoor shoot usually in September each year. In 2019, we started at a fountain at the park, and worked our way over to a pond where we took the team shot and some more individual shots. After that, we headed back to their brick building and got some final shots there, including a few smoke bomb shoots.

Owner/Artistic Director Jessica Garrett and Miss Alexa and Miss Gwynn lead a talented and growing team of dancers. Along with the normal action shots and poses, Jessica is also a big fan of getting her team’s head shots done outdoors.

Jessica and Alexa are also the Creative Directors of Pas de Deux Photo, the online community and annual international dance photography conference. They oversee the dancers at the conference, manage their schedules, and develop an educational program for them at the conference. They also lead webinars for our dance photographers and help moderate our monthly dancer chats where we bring on dancers such as Ashley Bouder, a principal dancer of the New York City Ballet.
